Royal residential & commercial building, Frankfurt, Germany
Schneider + Schuhmacher Architekten
Once the site of the 'Royal' cinema from which it gets its name, this new residential and commercial building features a curved glass mosaic facade that references the original 1957 building. These small-format glass mosaic tiles create a unified and distinctive aesthetic, their colour appearing subtly different depending on the ambient conditions.
