A change for the better has taken place at Bolzano’s main railway station: A formerly unsightly old building dating from 1954 now sports a new facade which combines an attractive overall impression with an extremely climate-friendly design. South Tyrolean architect Michael Tribus has carried out a thorough renovation of the former post office building and transformed it into Italy’s first public PassivHaus.
