The quirky facade, which is reminiscent of waving stalks of grain, immediately catches the eye. Based on drawings by Esscher, 19 Het Atelier Architecten developed a pattern of pentagons in different colours, combined with a decorative plaster finish. The colour scheme of the materials is reflected in the surrounding buildings, which are mainly made of masonry.
