Winner of the BIG SEE Architecture Award 2024 - Public, Cultural and Infrastructure Buildings, this 3-storey landmark building was completed in 2021, according to Feng Shui design principles. At its centre is the staircase from which to access all areas of the building, with the Eight Trigrams of Feng Shui revolving around it. The building’s perfect grid system is informed by Chinese numerology and the concept of perfection - each floor plan and facade measures 9x9 metres. These principles were intended to integrate and synthesise with Le Corbusier’s Modulors.
