Furniture manufacturer Vitra has now commissioned the next top-class architect to design another showroom. The VitraHaus by Herzog & de Meuron is an abstracted version of the archetypal house. This is not the first extravagant building to go up on the Vitra campus. Some years ago, this architectural philosophy was not even on the agenda.
