Sto wins double gold at the Heinze Architects' Darling Awards

February 19, 2024

Sto is once again one of the "Best Performers" in the construction industry this year. At the Architects' Darling Award, the company was awarded gold twice – in the categories "Beste Objektberatung" (best project consultancy) and "Beste Produkt-Innovation Ausbau" (best product innovation expansion). Bronze was awarded for "Farben und Lacke" (paints and varnishes).

The annual Architects' Darling Award of Heinze GmbH has established itself as a sought-after and recognised award within the construction industry. This year, around 200 manufacturers and brands submitted entries for a vote by survey participants. A total of 1,949 architects and planners took part in the multimedia survey, conducted by Heinze Market Research, to determine their personal favourites, or 'darlings' in the construction industry.

Heinze once again rolled out the red carpet for the best in the construction industry at the awards ceremony on 08 November 2023 as part of the Celler Werktag. A total of 23 brand awards and 14 jury awards were presented. Heiner Röhr, Head of Region - Germany, and Marketing Manager Rolf Wohllaib were on stage three times on behalf of Sto, receiving two gold and one bronze award.

Sto's technical consultants ranked in 1st place
After winning bronze last year and gold the year before, Sto's technical consultants impressed the architects this year - and took first place as Architects' Darling in the "Beste Objektberatung" (best project consultancy) category. The Sto team is delighted to be at the top of the podium, well ahead of Brillux and Bauder. The jury was impressed by the Sto team's expertise, on-site advice, partnership-based behaviour and problem-solving skills.

StoTherm AimS wins special category
In the special category "Beste Produkt-Innovation Ausbau" (best product innovation expansion), a 70-strong jury consisting of architects from renowned architectural firms from all over Germany scrutinised the products submitted. The sustainable StoTherm AimS system particularly impressed the jury with its deconstruction concept - here too, the world market leader was voted first place. Dowelled with the StoFix Circonic insulation holder, it can be installed without adhesives and separated by type at the end of its life cycle. The criteria in this category included the importance of the product for architects and other clients, sustainability, degree of innovation and recommendation. Keller Minimal Windows took second place and Reflexa-Werke third.

Sto took bronze in the paints and varnishes category
Sto took bronze in the "Farben und Lacke" (paints and varnishes) category behind Brillux and Keimfarben. Product quality, value for money, innovation, product selection and durability were assessed.

"This triple award proves once again that we are winning over Germany's architects with our Sto products and services," says a delighted Heiner Röhr. "Many thanks to all our colleagues who have contributed to this success! We can be proud of this!"
